My name is Tamaki Silver (she/her/hers) and I am a licensed psychologist specializing in working with young adults 18-35+, particularly around stress and anxiety, life transitions, and relationships. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable discussing challenging experiences and relationships, build resilience and coping skills, and develop your own individual identity. I hope to make this a collaborative experience in which we can engage in problem solving and exploration around all aspects of personal and professional development, while also sharing in some laughter.

My approach is warm and conversational, yet direct. I work from an integrative theoretical orientation, primarily consisting of interpersonal, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT interventions, as I believe treatment must be flexible and tailored to each individual. I also favor taking a positive psychology approach, utilizing strengths-based interventions or humor to help individuals flourish.

I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Delaware’s counseling center, followed by my postdoctoral training at Temple University in Philadelphia. Prior to joining The Therapy Group, I spent four years as a staff psychologist at Vanderbilt University’s counseling center in Nashville, TN. As I have worked quite extensively with college and graduate students, I am passionate about young adult identity development and helping individuals work through the challenges accompanying building a healthy adult trajectory.

In my free time, I love playing with my dog Fletcher, baking a sweet treat, eating at a new restaurant, and being a die-hard Philly-sports fan!
