Specialties: Individual, Couples, Families
I’m Suzy (she/her/hers) and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes that therapy is a collaborative process. I use a non-pathologizing approach that aims to validate your unique experience while helping you gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationships.
I work with individuals, couples, and families to explore commitment, deepen intimacy, and navigate conflict more effectively. I take a systemic approach and use multiple modalities such as Emotion Focused, Narrative, Experiential, and Structural Family Therapy to provide treatment that meets each client’s unique needs. My philosophy is that you are the expert in your own experience and it’s my job to walk alongside you as we untangle the complex threads of our internal and external worlds.
I’m passionate about working with folks struggling with depression and anxiety and those experiencing conflict or distance in their relationships. The decision to seek therapy takes bravery and vulnerability. If you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck during a life transition or career change, therapy can help.
I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. I have a particular interest in intergenerational trauma, identity development, grief & loss, coping with chronic illness, and ADHD management. One of my favorite parts of the therapeutic process is witnessing the changes clients make, big and small, as they disrupt dysfunctional cycles and discover new parts of themselves. In my free time, you can find me testing out new recipes in the kitchen, painting with watercolors, playing tennis, or lounging with my kittens, Cookie and Butter.
