Specialties: Individual
Vlada Rultenberg, LCSW (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in substance abuse, eating disorders, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. Vlada works with individuals, couples, and families to facilitate change and strengthen the system as a whole. She believes that we are shaped by our past experiences, and that the most important relationship we can cultivate is the one with ourselves. Vlada believes in the collaborative process between client and therapist, and uses a person centered and strengths- based approach, meeting each client exactly where they are.
Vlada received her Master’s of Social work from Barry University in 2017. She believes that therapy is a powerful tool in not only getting deeper in one’s own journey with self, but also holding oneself accountable. Ultimately, Vlada believes that every person has a right, and a strong desire to be seen and heard, and providing a safe and therapeutic space to do that is her number one goal. Vlada believes in the power of the mind, and how thoughts are the centerpiece to everything we do.
Vlada has been trained in Brainspotting, and uses different modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy when working with her clients. She is a big proponent of meditation, breath work, and writing as a way to delve deeper in the mind, and ultimately within yourself. Vlada believes that the time spent in therapy is important, but the small steps that are implemented outside of therapy, are essential.
“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.” -Buddha
