McKenzie Winchester, LMFT (she/her/hers) is a Marriage and Family Therapist who values an authentic and comfortable approach to foster a nurturing, safe and judgment-free therapeutic bond. She is passionate about taking a collaborative approach with clients to mold therapy to their individual and unique needs. McKenzie is interested in using this approach to reach a variety of different clients that includes families, couples, children and individuals. She believes that all families, individuals and couples are able to navigate challenging situations and with the right tools, resources and skills are able to identify and maintain their extraordinary strengths that make them who they are. Whatever your reason for considering therapy, McKenzie is thrilled at the opportunity to work together and to aid all clients in safely exploring any obstacles in the way of achieving a whole sense of self both within and outside of all relationships.
Prior to working at The Therapy Group, McKenzie earned her Master’s Degree in Couple & Family Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University, with a concentration in Family Therapy. There she trained within a systemic approach that works to examine and encompass the full identity of the client’s she works with. McKenzie’s interests include working with children regarding school related issues (bullying, identity, peer relationships), challenges and transitions within families (divorce, blended families, child-rearing, parenting) as well as relationship issues, women-specific needs, and individual obstacles such as anxiety, depression and self-esteem.
