Hello! My name is Hayley Addesa (she/her/hers) and I work with individuals navigating their unique challenges while remaining grounded in empathy, kindness, and empowerment. I work with clients of all ages who are struggling with eating disorders or disordered eating, body image disruption, trauma, anxiety, and life transitions.
My approach is one filled with warmth, patience, and humor. If you’ve taken the step to come in for a session with me you can anticipate a safe space of non-judgement where you are the expert on you. My goal would be to collaboratively work toward growth and empowerment that feels aligned with your needs and authentic self. I feel it is also important to acknowledge the systems in which we exist and the impact that those play on our overall health and well-being. Together we will work to explore and approach ongoing themes with curiosity and care.
I tend to use an eclectic approach rooted in the relationship between myself and my client, but I will additionally pull on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy to support our work together. While I’m happy to assist any person seeking out therapy, I specialize in treatment of eating disorders/disordered eating, anxiety, and trauma.
I received my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University. My career path has afforded me training in residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care which I believe allows me to think flexibly about the support offered to those I’m working with. It is an honor and privilege to be a helping professional and be beside another finding their way to self-kindness and nourishment in all its forms. When I’m not in the therapy office, you can find me with my nose in a book, taking an art class or at the pottery studio, passionately embracing my Gritizen status cheering on the Flyers (it’s hard sometimes!), spending downtime with my husband and dog, or tending to one of the many plants in my collection. I’m so excited to connect with you!
