Therapy for Moms Philly

My name is Hannah Bornstein-Chatani (she/her/hers) and I believe that stories have immense power - the ones we tell ourselves, the ones we tell others, and the ones that we are told by those around us. Our stories help us to make sense of our world and ourselves, and they can also hinder our growth and healing. My goal as a therapist is to hear, hold, and understand your stories, then work with you to write or rewrite powerful narratives that serve you in your journey through life. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, navigating difficult life transitions, struggling with perinatal mental health challenges, or who need support improving their body image and relationship with food.

My approach is conversational and collaborative, with an appropriate dash of humor. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, and always see clients through a strengths-based lens. I'll meet you where you are in each session and tailor my approach to your needs and goals. I strive to create a space where you can share authentically, so we can both seek to understand the whole picture of who you are and what you need. With our relationship as our foundation, we can identify patterns that don't serve you and rewrite stories, thoughts, and beliefs that empower and uplift you.

Being a therapist allows me the great honor of being entrusted with the truest, most tender parts of so many unique and layered human beings. I love learning, and there are no greater teachers than the clients I am privileged to support. I’m constantly in awe of the human capacity for resilience and I’m grateful to support others as they discover it in themselves.

Outside of therapy, I am a musical theater kid at heart who loves to sing, dance, and watch others do the same! I am lucky to have a captive audience in my husband, my baby daughter, Naya, and fur baby, Brix the goldendoodle. I have also taught group fitness in boutique studios and gyms for over a decade and try to get movement in whenever I get the chance.
