Hi! I’m Amy (she/her/hers) and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with individual adults and couples struggling in their relationships and with sex specific concerns. I also focus on men looking to improve their emotional relationships with themselves and with others in their life.

I am empathetic and direct. When working with clients, I am always considering familial, societal and cultural influences. Among the many therapeutic modalities I draw from are Relational Life Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Polyvagal Theory. I also utilize many somatic interventions as I believe that connection to the body is a critical part of understanding ourselves and our experiences. It is only when our body and our nervous system is settled that we can begin the healing process.

Clients can expect my active participation in each session. This means I will often share my thought processes and give direct feedback to my clients. I frequently invite my clients to notice what is going on in their bodies and will sometimes incorporate breath practices to support emotional regulation. The use of humor is also something that can be expected.

I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy and a specialization in Sex Therapy. I like to consider myself a “forever student” and have continued my education with Relational Life Therapy training - Level 1, specialized sex therapy classes and somatic interventions trainings to name a few.

To be able to witness my clients in their most vulnerable and courageous moments is a distinct privilege that I never take for granted. My favorite part about being a therapist is watching my clients change their own lives through the dismantling of intergenerational patterns, embracing self-compassion and improving their relationships through increased intimacy, accountability and connection.

In my free time, I love to be with my kids, who are the most wonderful people on the planet. I enjoy cooking and eating delicious food with my partner and carefully planning the outfits I am going to wear the three times a week I leave my house. In my rare moments alone, I can be found reading or dancing to early 2000s pop and hip hop.
